I was born in La Serena, Chile to a free-spirited peace corps volunteer and a local art professor. I spent the first three years of my life in the sea-side town on the edge of the Pacific not far from the Andes before moving to the southeast US. Following in the footsteps of my father, a self-taught graphic designer, I learned the tools of the trade through exploration and experimentation. While the advantage of growing up with access to my family's print production tools enabled me to produce kick-ass presentations for school projects, they were often met with suspicion and disbelief from teachers.

After leaving Brooklyn, NY in the aftermath of September 11, 2001 I spent five years living a childhood dream working at a horse ranch in Hawaiʻi. My work managing a horseback riding tour company led to a position with a tour start-up that was my segue back into graphic design. I created logos, maps, brochures and other collateral before landing a position as a Paginator for the The Garden Island, Kauaʻi's daily newspaper, when the tour failed to launch due to permit issues. Island fever set in after spending six years in the middle of the Pacific so I relocated with my significant other and our three dogs to the alpine desert of southern Colorado and transitioned from the page layout to creating ads and designing special sections for the Valley Courier daily newspaper in Alamosa, Colorado.

In the years that followed I moved a few times before finally settling in Buffalo, NY. With each new position I continued to produce print collateral and had the opportunity to branch into web design. In Buffalo I was once again on the on the ground floor of a startup. Tasked with the creation of two separate companies, I created, designed, branded, and marketed. In addition to being a one woman army for the Complete Wellness Arts & Science Center and Health Essentials Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, I supported many of the Wellness Center's independent practitioners and instructors with logos, branding, print and digital collateral, and websites.
